Position: Driving Instructor 
Location: Martinsburg, Berkeley County / Kearneysville, Jefferson County
Part-time or Full-time work: 20-40 hours per week, according to availability and demand
Flexible hours: weekends, after school hours, summertime
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Starting Date: ongoing recruitment
General Information:

  • Work for a small, family-owned business
  • Will provide a dual-controlled vehicle to run lessons, ensuring safety of students. 
  • 1-1 driving sessions
  • Attend team meetings at one of our locations as needed to review progress, handling of documents and updated on day-to-day running of the school.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Valid and current driver's license with at least five years of driving experience
  • State-issued Drivers Instructor Certification or License is NOT required in the state of WV
  • No DUI's, major traffic violations, or accidents within the past five years
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Ideally, ability to work after school hours and weekends as needed
  • Must be at least 25 years old
  • Familiar with defensive driving techniques, road safety and local traffic laws
  • Familiar with basic maintenance and vehicle mechanics and emergency procedures
  • Proficient in English, with clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time and withstand outdoor weather conditions when instructing
  • Basic computer skills, comfortable scheduling lessons, completing reports and communicating with students or parents through a computer or smartphone
  • Strong attention to detail and awareness to ensure student and vehicle safety
